For Dad

Dad, I love you. And on this fathers day I intend to honor you by writing about many of the things that I love about you. . You are a punster. If you know my Dad well you would know that he’s good at making puns, often at the dinner table we’ll be talking when my Dad starts laughing, then my brother, then my mom and I. Another thing that I love about you is that you are artistic. You can paint and draw, I especially love your paintings. When I walk through our house I only have to look at your paintings and feel like I’m back in colorado.  You know how to make things beautiful, you know how to nurture plants and arrange them well.  I also love that you love the Lord with all your heart, you inspire me. Thanks for being my Dad “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost. –Matthew 18:12-14

We too, have experienced this amazing individual. He is a “father” to about 100 (give or take) children he teaches (not all at the same time) in Children’s Ministry. He is one of the kindest, most gentle men we know. Quiet, (those still waters run REAL deep); but always seems to have the right words at the right time. He is very encouraging and uplifting. You are blessed to have such a man to call “Dad”. Happy Father’s Day to him, and thank YOU for sharing him with us!!!
