Christmas time

Getting Seasonal
The holiday season: can’t get enough of it, or can’t wait for it all to be over already? Has your attitude toward the end-of-year holidays changed over the years?

I love the holidays. It is a time of the year where everyone comes together to simply spend time with each other, they laugh, smile and exchange gifts . People seem a little bit jollier this time of year.

The smells. I love the Christmas fragrances: Cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger. Then there are the cookie smells, sugar cookies, cherry winks, snicker doodles, snowball cookies, and fudge.

And oh, the music! Give me some Bing Crosby Christmas carols and you will have me dancing around the house.

Best of all, the real reason that we celebrate Christmas. To celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Years and years and years ago, on the 25th, a little baby was born, and He was called Jesus. And then later, He would sacrifice himself for us, taking our sins, then, He rose from the grave.

Merry Christmas all, enjoy the season, it only comes around once a year.

Loved your message here as it is much like mine on my recent Christmas related post on past Christmas memories and the birth of Jesus, the ‘reason for the season’ in which we celebrate. It is always a wonderful and refreshing thing to encounter another believer and Christian on Word Press who is not afraid to admit to their faith and salvation. God bless you this Christmas and in the new year.
